Eric Newman is an architectural designer whose background is rooted in Jamaica and shaped by a strong appreciation for culture, community, and the built environment.Growing up in Jamaica, Eric developed an early interest in how people interact with the places around them and how architecture reflects the character and identity of a community.

Eric began his architectural education in Jamaica, earning an associate degree in Architecture and Construction Management from Knox College before moving to the United States to pursue his Bachelor of Architecture at Kennesaw State University. His education and experiences across both countries have given him a perspective that is influenced by different cultures, environments, and approaches to architecture.

He enjoys exploring new environments, learning from different perspectives, and finding inspiration in the everyday spaces and experiences that often go unnoticed. These interests continue to shape the way he thinks about architecture and the role it can play in creating meaningful places for people.

Eric is particularly interested in architecture that feels connected to its surroundings and reflects the people and communities it serves. He enjoys the collaborative nature of design and is excited by opportunities to continue learning, growing, and contributing to thoughtful work at Arcollab. His background in Jamaica and education in both architecture and construction continue to inform his belief that good architecture should be connected to its place, people, and the way they experience the built environment.
