Dean’s Guest House – Oxford College

Arcollab designed the rehabilitation of a mid-nineteenth century outbuilding located on the grounds of the residence of the Dean of Oxford College of Emory University. The two-room building will be expanded to be used as a guest suite for important campus visitors.

Despite its prominent location immediately behind the Dean’s House, the building had fallen into a state of disrepair. The rehabilitation scope includes a full reconstruction of the foundation, fireplaces, and chimney; repair of exterior trim and siding; reconditioning and repair of windows and doors; new roofing; new insulation and interior finishes; and new technical, electrical and plumbing systems. All specified assemblies and materials were required to meet Emory University performance standards.
